Why Tallow? Why Now?

I didn’t set out to sell skincare. I just wanted something safe enough to use on my kids. Something without seed oils, fragrance, or a 37-letter chemical I had to Google.

So I made my own.

My first tallow balm had just two ingredients — grass-fed tallow and olive oil — and it was the only thing my nephew’s eczema didn’t react to. From there, I started experimenting with simple, clean, food-grade ingredients I already trusted in my kitchen. The results? Better skin. Fewer flare-ups. And a balm I felt good about putting on my kids, my face, and my newborn’s cheeks.

To protect or not to protect? That seems to be the question these days. 
 
But what if you could have the best of both worlds? Protection from the stuff we need protection from while, at the same time, nourishing and nurturing our sensitive skin while exposed to the elements? 
 
The Sun Balm is exactly that! The nourishing, skin-loving tallow you’ve come to know and love is slowly infused with calendula flowers to soothe and heal skin while promoting cell regeneration. Combined with sun protecting ingredients like non-nano zinc oxide and carrot seed oil for extra protection, The Sun Balm takes your outdoor skin care needs to the next level. 
 
Unlike many other mineral sunscreens, The Sun Balm is intentionally mixed with non-nano zinc oxide which has larger particles that can not be absorbed into your blood stream.  It is also environmentally friendly and has a natural SPF of 30. Combined with ani-oxidant rich carrot seed oil with a natural SPF of 38-40 and moisturizing beeswax for water and sweat resistance, The Sun Balm provides broad spectrum protection to extend your fun in the sun! 
 
Safe for use on babies, children and those with sensitive skin. For use on both the face and body.
