I didn’t set out to sell skincare. I just wanted something safe enough to use on my kids. Something without seed oils, fragrance, or a 37-letter chemical I had to Google.

So I made my own.

My first tallow balm had just two ingredients — grass-fed tallow and olive oil — and it was the only thing my nephew’s eczema didn’t react to. From there, I started experimenting with simple, clean, food-grade ingredients I already trusted in my kitchen. The results? Better skin. Fewer flare-ups. And a balm I felt good about putting on my kids, my face, and my newborn’s cheeks.

The Lip Balm is made with home rendered and purified grass-fed tallow that absorbs into the skin, penetrating deep within the skin’s layers to heal from the inside. Combined with hydrating beeswax to lock in moisture and antioxidant rich honey to heal and sooth, The Lip Balm will be your lip’s new BFF!

Available in 4 delicious flavours (Honey, Vanilla Bean, Mint & now Coffee) and infused with organic vanilla beans for the vanilla scent and peppermint leaves for the peppermint scent, it will be hard not to lick this all off before it fully absorbs. And by the way, it’s completely safe to lick, so taste away and don’t be scared to share with your littlest best friends- a.k.a.- your kids.

Note- because The Lip Balm is tallow based, it will absorb into your lips and not just sit on top for hours. This is a good thing as it is healing your lips, not just masking the dryness. The dryness of your lips will determine how often you will have to reapply, but once your lips are healed and can maintain a healthy hydration level, minimal reapplications will be needed.

Scent Profiles:

Honey- subtle and sweet. Almost unscented but with a hint of sweetness when it touches your tongue.
Vanilla Bean- a subtle vanilla scent, similar to that of vanilla ice cream… and tastes just as delicious.
Mint- a subtle minty note with a hint of sweetness. Will not leave your lips tingling as there is nothing artificial, but provides a yummy mint flavour when it touches your tongue.
Coffee - a deliciously creamy, yet subtle, coffee taste with a hint of sweetness and vanilla!

What is tallow & why should I use it?

Tallow is rendered fat from animals. Ours comes from grass-fed cattle. Tallow is rich in vitamins A, D, E, K, & B12 along with fatty acids. It is deeply nourishing, healing and gentle on our skin as it's fatty acid profile is remarkably similar to ours.

Where does your tallow come from?

Our tallow is locally sourced from grass-fed cattle. We use only suet (fat from around the kidney area) and never trim fat, ensuring our products maintain the highest nutrient profile possible, which is rendered and purified ourselves in our very own kitchen.

Are your products baby & pregnancy safe?

Absolutely! Because we use only the cleanest, purest ingredients and never use essential oils, fillers, preservatives or anything unnatural, our products are all safe, gentle and nourishing for our sweetest little bundles and blessed mamas.

What do you mean when you say "subtle, earthy scent"?

Because we don't use essential oils to add scents to our tallow, any scent that a product has is from infusing it with organic herbs and botanicals. With that said, things like dried chamomile and calendula flowers, along with marshmallow root naturally have an earthy scent and so when products are infused with them they take on a very subtle, earthy scent. Most people say they don't smell anything, but some who are very scent-sensitive can smell the natural scent added through these items.
Natural Texture & Temperature Care

Because our tallow is 100% natural and free from synthetic stabilizers, chemical emulsifiers, or artificial hardeners, it responds directly to the environment just like your skin does.

In the Heat: It may soften, melt, or become slightly grainy if exposed to warm temperatures, and then form hard, little balls upon cooling again.

In the Cold: It will firm up and become more solid in cooler rooms.

How to reset it: If your tallow melts during shipping or in a warm environment, simply give it a quick stir and pop it in the fridge for 5-10 minutes to restore its creamy consistency. If it feels too firm, scoop a pea-sized amount and warm it between your palms—it will melt instantly into your skin. Texture shifts are completely normal and never alter the quality or nourishing benefits of the product.

If Your Tallow Gets Wet

If your tallow gets moisture in it, simply leave the lid off for a day or two to ensure the moisture completely evaporates from the tallow before putting the lid back on.

Obsessed with this lip balm!
I’ve tried many natural lip balms including several tallow-based and this is by far the best I’ve ever used. It is extremely soft and hydrating and does not feel greasy.
The scent is an added bonus, it is absolutely heavenly! It smells so good my kids even lick their fingers clean after they apply it. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a truly effective natural lip balm!
