WHY COOK FROM SCRATCH?

Did you know that almost all foods that we buy from the store that are premade and packaged to last have very unhealthy ingredients in them?

Ingredients like food dyes, preservatives, artificial sweeteners, artificial flavours, monosodium glutamate, BHT and BHA, sodium benzonate, potassium bromate, bisphenols, phthalates, carrageenan and more can all have very negative effects on our health.

ADHD, hormone disruption, behaviour issues, neurodevelopmental effects, memory problems, allergies, gut and digestive issues, cancer, problems focussing, diabetes, heart disease, grogginess and low energy levels are just a few of the issues caused by the ingredients listed above.

When we cook our own food and use real ingredients that come from nature, we provide ourselves with nutrient-rich, energy-boosting options that fuel our bodies, not just fill them. This is especially important for children as they are continuously growing and developing and toxic ingredients, such as the ones listed above, can interfere with and delay proper development.

I added this to my "Sneak Peak" section because it's a MUST TRY!  I wasn't sure how a cabbage salad would go over with my kids, but it's now a family favourite!  A sweet way to get a ton of veggies into your kiddos, I promise you will all love it!
